Offical FDT Training

The videos go over what I have learned after many, many hours of working with Eclipse and FDT.

what fdt version do you use in this video? I have basic and my version doesnt expose swc files or refactor when you move files around.

The videos use the enterprise version of 3.2.
Basic, I’m guessing you’re referring to the ‘Pure’ version, does not support refactoring. You can see here on the ‘features’ page.

Look for ‘SWC browsing and source code representation’ , ‘Move Refactoring for types’ and ‘Rename Refactoring’.
The fdt website just forwards to their blog.
I only have the basic version of Fdt (pre pure) its 3.5
I might upgrade just because of these two features. Swc browsing and Refactoring on move.
Does your video highlight any other hiden features. Ill buy it if i know about them.
If you check out FDT’s features page, I go over almost all of it.
I suggest download the 30 day trial of the enterprise version of FDT and then watch the videos. See what features you do use and then when the trial is up decide which version/features works for you.
I see the videos as a cheep way to find out if it’s worth spending the big money on other FDT versions.
